Nanbenda

Hi all,

Few people are always special in your life. It does not matter even when they don't consider you so. Friends fight just to make the relationship strong. Course of true love never did run smooth. It applies to friendship too :-) Today this post is dedicated to such a friend of mine :-)

There is that one person whom you will never get over
No matter how long it’s been
About such friend I am writing herein

Many Men have always been there in all stages
As brothers and cousins
You are My First and Best Male Friend
Whom I  will celebrate for ages.

I always admire you my friend
It is only today my thoughts are penned
I don’t remember the first day we met
But the first Birthday wish you made being oceans away
Is the one I can never forget.

I can never describe what your friendship means in my life
Your words and support for me is always rife
You stand by me in everything I do
In a unique way your hands would come even if I skid

I am rich with my Friends I agree
But you made me wealthy
You are there in my every laughter
When I cry you are the comforter
In my life for the friendship between a guy and a girl
Your friendship has a significant stride
You are a friend and a guide I boast with Pride.

I have made blunders out of Ignorance
Not just in one Instance
You can understand even the unsaid sorry
Because you showed me that this relationship is beyond words
A Friend in Need is a friend indeed
Your friendship is the one I would concede and plead

Happy Birthday Sagaa!!

Travel Loving

Earth has so much beauty in it.  A lifetime would never suffice even to learn its beauty.

Nature is one of the best things everyone could cherish. Nature was at its best, when we visited Coorg.  Such a good place it is but hardly maintained. It needs much maintenance.

Yes. Coming to the Tour – We visited Raja’s seat , Fort , Abbi falls and Omkareshwar temple on the first day. It was 2 days trip, which is less to cover places in and around Madikeri.  Though nature was fully at its best, I could not enjoy much because the maintenance was not up to mark. Recently Madikeri has faced heavy rainfall and that can also be the reason for lack in maintenance. We were even dismayed when we heard that there was no entry for bathing in Abbi falls. But however the places may be and wherever you are... being with friends compensates everything. We were too excited at our get together. We played cards and happily ended that day.

Next Day we went to Dubare forest . It has boating , river rafting and elephant camp in it. We went through boat to visit the elephant camp. Saw many elephants of various sizes.  We came to know the names of 2 little elephants. We ourselves named many. Elephant bathing was allowed on payment of Rs.100. Few families were bathing the elephant. We loved the way the elephants playing with kids there.

Then we got ready for rafting. We were given Life vests and helmets which made us feel like soldiers ready to fly. In the beginning many were scared. But the Experts who joined us Mr. Anu & Manish ensured us that the experience would be safe filled with fun and adventure. We divided into  group of 5 & 6 and started with Rafting. In the beginning the water was stand still where we had to row. Instruction was given by the experts “ Forward” , “ Backward” “fast” & “stop” which still i am hearing  as I type this post.

The expert were conversing well  and as they ensured , the experience was adventurous. People who had feared earlier became wild with water and played well with its flow. We enjoyed a lot. We worked as a team and enjoyed the team work. We spent almost 2.5 hrs to cover 7 kilometers which was very much time than the average. We paid Rs.600 each and definitely felt worth after the experience.Rafting was the momentous experience. Had I gone alone or even with family, I do not know whether I would have opted for rafting. But being with like minded people (i.e. Friends) made me to do it. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Later that afternoon we went to Tibetan Monastery which is must visit place. We could not visit Thalakaveri and bhagmandala. But our river rafting experiences with such amazing Experts never made us regret for it.

I have always thought that,

Adventures have to be a part of life.
Life is to be cherished.
Routines needs some break.
Nature strengthens your mind.
Finally, World is all yours. You deserve to taste the beauty of each part of it.

So, Create a chance and explore places. Stay Green!!

Planning a Tour

Do you know how much difficult it is to plan a tour ? That too when it involves 10 to 15 people.  Day have to be convenient, dates have to be well planned, place plays a very important role and last comes the budget.

In many instances family tour becomes inevitable. But tour with friends is a mere choice where we never feel like using the option “NO”. As I always say, friends share the same wave length. Even if not same, they love adjusting for each others.

If one friend drops there are so many chances that other frogs also drop their plans L . It is really tough to keep all people intact. Each person’s opinion has to be considered in every matter and majority wins in almost all instances.

Once we start to plan a tour we should be prepared to hear a ready “NO” from few. A ready “Yes” from many. But as the plan continues with discussion on date and number of days people tend to drop the plans. They start remembering other commitments which earlier they forgot. They start prioritising other occasions than the tour. Some emergencies arises which do not let people to proceed as they wish. Finally when we count the number of people it’ll be 2 to 4. @ would be people who organise the tour (as they themselves cannot drop) and other 2 would be lovely hearts who wish to be by the side of organisers.

Somehow after convincing everyone who is about to drop the plan, the date and day undergoes so many changes. Here booking the means of conveyance and place of stay cannot be pre planned as the tour itself will not be finalised till last 2 days.

So after planning all the other itenaries – places to visit in the location selected has to be planned. Kilometers has to be known, time has to be calculated and weather has to be analysed. Possibility of rains and storms may spoil the entire plan. After this the starting point has to be decided when each friends are put up at different cities. Travelling has to be planned from a single location otherwise the fun element would be lost. There is no point in asking everyone to report to the tour spot themselves. So that travel to a centre spot has to be taken care off , from various cities.

No one’s feelings should be hurt. One cannot dominate  all others. No one should feel out of place. All these really matters for the success of the tour. People who owns this nature must be chosen for the trip. Odd men should be left out.

This is how a tour is organised. It is not a piece of cake to easily bake. It demands so much of patience, enthusiasm, responsibility and co-operation, support from many. All these were undergone by us.  We dropped the entire plan and again rebuilt the plan. At last we successfully made a trip to coorg for 2 days with 11 people.

Dear all  members of the tour- let’s say
Hip Hip Hurray!!
Hip Hip Hurray!!
Hip Hip Hurray!!

Happy Anniversary !!

Tell me who your friend is, I’ll tell who you are…

Words of wisdom never go wrong. It is true that our parents are the first teacher on earth. But they are the teachers for primary level .As we grow our friends become our teachers. Knowingly or unknowingly we adapt to their behaviour where we mould ourselves in that stage.

Choosing a Friend is solely your choice. When you choose the good one you are going t win and if you choose a bad one your failure in life is made certain.

Henry J.M.Nouwen has said that “When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions , or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tenderhand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.”

My friends are very few and all are true.(seems like a T.R dialogue.. but fact is fact even when said in T.R. style :-P). I always had my friends who stood by me in my hard times. They were with me in all the joys, grieves, pains, celebrations, wails, laughter, victories , failures , pleasure , peace and prideful moments.
“Every friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born".

I would not have become a CA without my friend Archana who was the first reason for me taking up the course. I would not be a blogger for my friend Vidhya encouraged me to write a blog. I did not know the value of money till I had the friendship of my friend jingly. I did not know the sharing between friends till I had the friendship of Sowmya and Divya. I learnt how to be positive with my friends Viswanathan, SP  and Indira.

Every friend of mine is unique.
(Onnonnum sample piece uh :-D) They are unique in their own ways. I love them for what they are in my life . I always know, they love me the same way as I do.

All these together have made my world happy today. It’s been 9 years since I’ve lived in this world of friendship. It started on June 17th 2004 ...with words "Idhu XI G Ah?"... and the journey never ends. I wish a Happy Anniversary to all these friends.

My friends

My friends always prove that we are alike.
Me with my two friends and two brothers went to a trip to mysore. Everyone knows that Mysore is a place worth visiting. If you have not explored it till now then plan your next vacation there.

I’ve always admired the hospitality of my father & his siblings. They really awe you with their hospitality. We can never repay them in any way. One of my aunts has put up in mysore and she was very happy at my visit with friends.

The first day of the trip we covered many places and we never miss the food street whenever we visit mysore palace. Me and my brothers went there along with my friends.
We had soooooo much of stuffs there. Gobi Manchurian, noodles, dosas, idlys and what not?

WAIT WAIT! It is not our fault that we had so much.

Recently I read fascinating information about Indians.
The information is as follows:
When India was ruled by British, Indians were not guaranteed of their next meal or even for the next day. So, they used to have much food when they had the chance to eat so that they could store for the next meal time (Like a camel).I also read that Indians tend to have much food even today because it has become hereditary. (There are exceptions to it).

I always hate if I’ve made stand in the Red Carpet.(I mean I love to be one in the crowd). Obviously my friends also hate the Red carpet. Hope this fascinating fact about Indians would suffice for having (little) high quantity of food. Even if you are not convinced I am convinced. My friends are convinced. We are indeed proud that we have inherited our fore fathers and we are true INDIANS :-P

After having so much food in the streets we were forced to have in home too. Oh ! that’s the hospitality which I proudly described. But for the first time the hospitality became a curse in our lives. Atleast me and my brothers escaped form my aunty after having 2 idlys. One of my friend  also escaped after a hard try. But the other was caught. She too planned to escape but then, my aunty brought Vaangi Bath from kitchen. My friends loves that dish so much and my friend could not resist the dish after bringing it in front of her.

It was nearly an hour we waited for her to finish her dinner. It was already 11.00 pm. But there was no sign of finishing the dinner. She was not able to eat and was struggling to complete. When I lost my patience after long waiting I just asked her “when you already had so much of food. Why didn’t you refuse to have vaangi bath? Do you know how long you have been eating?”

She immediately replied “ Vaangi Baath nadhum Vaaya Pozhandhuten what to do ?“

We could not help controlling our laughter. We loved her rhyming despite of the tragic timing.

Note: Vaangiis a name for brinjal . Vaangi Bath is a variety rice made using Brinjal (in karnataka).

Happy Valentine's day

The office where I worked earlier is really a lovable place for me because of my friends over there. We had to stretch long hours for work, we had so much pressures to handle sometimes , we were not encouraged for our good work and important is we were not paid for our work … despite all these we enjoyed. We enjoyed the friendship and the bond which we had as a group of  8 to 10 people. We cherished every tea and lunch break. That friendship may be because all the 8 were not a professional yet (so no egos) and all were students. We could easily communicate in our mother tongue… and that is also a reason for that bonding.

We used to tease each others by assigning someone as their love/lover. These teasings continue even till date whenever we meet. Everyone had a person in office with whom they would be paired and teased. We din't leave even the old lady who came to sweep n mop the office floor. But one among our friends had no girl to be paired with him and tease him.We did not bother to get him a pair (for teasing) too.

He bothered so much. One day he even asked us that he has not been given a pair to tease. That was the time when Vaaranam Ayiram movie was released and Sameera Reddy was the hottest heroine in  industry. He himself came out with a suggestion to tease him with Sameera Reddy. All of us did not know how to cut his nose. At that moment instantly one of my friend gave him a comment(counter).Comment given late would not have this much impact. Her's was instant.

Ha ha ha ha The counter is really a tremendous one. Everyone burst out into wild laughs. Even when typing this post am laughing at her counter. You know what she said?

Idha Vechu Sameera Reddy ya vena Otalam…(which means Sameera Reddy can be teased by pairing you )

She is a quite girl. But she gave such a hilarious comment. We couldn’t control our laughter for an hour. A calm girl could give such a comment. That’s possible only in Friendship. You can act smart , obedient and decent everywhere with everyone… But not with friends.. not when you are among your closed circle. I love my friends in the old office. Those moments chirpily passes through my mind when I am writing this post…
I am still smiling :)

Happy Valentine's day Friends :)

Note: After reading this post don't ask me as who is that Friend. I won't reveal his name.Because I am his "Beeeeaasssst" Friend.

What an Idea Sir Ji?

You know my nature and it is obvious that my friends would be alike. In today’s post I love to bring a story of my friend.

This is story of my friend in her childhood (she was 5 or 6 years old then) .No doubt that she has not changed since then. She still has the same innocence (she loves to call her madness by this name).

My friend was very active and naughty like any other kids at that age. She did some mistake and teacher punished her to kneel down outside the class room. She was so innocent (as per her wish) that she went out and knelt down as per her teacher’s instructions.

I knew that she is so careless. She forgets her things easily and because of that even when she was in high school, her mother (who knew her better than anyone) would not let her to wear gold ornaments. But when I heard this story I understood that not only her things, in many instances she forgets herself completely (I mean she forgets what she was doing a moment back. She becomes Sanjay Ramasamy very often)

Coming back to the story.  This girl who was supposed to kneel down forgot that she had been punished and went to play. She was playing with such a merry in her innocent face. Her mother came to school for giving her lunch and saw her kid playing happily in the swing. We all know how a mother cherishes on seeing their kids being happy. So she was mesmerized for few minutes while indulged in enjoying her kid’s cheer.

Suddenly a thought flashed her mom that “Why Vidhya is playing alone and where are the other kids? “
She went near my friend. As soon as my friend saw her mother with much more cheer she swung high in the swing. When aunty asked her the reason as to why she was playing alone, she could not reply. She tried to recollect but failed in it.  Aunty went to her class teacher and asked the reason. The teacher was annoyed as how she went out of the class and after inquiry came to know that she was punished by some other teacher in the last hour.

Aunty being the proud mother of such a careless kid started taking class to the teacher. She said that her daughter can be punished in any manner and there were no objections from her side. Only thing is she should be punished inside the class because she forgets that she has got a punishment and starts playing without realizing her mistakes. She said that “Vidhya is so mischievous that she can change the pain (punishment) as pleasure. “

From that day whatever be the punishment my friend would remain inside the class.
WHAT AN IDEA SIR JI?
