What Do I Write ?

When I tell people that I write blogs the first question I receive is “About what?”

In the beginning I used to pause for few seconds to answer this question. But now, I know what I write. I write about many things. Intentionally I avoid few topics like studies ,  negative topics & God.

First thing I avoid is studies/profession . The reason for me starting this blog is to be out of Profession and I don’t want to bore people with such topic as they would be speaking about that throughout their life.

Second thing I avoid is Negative Topics. I want to be Optimist. Even if I fail to bring a smile in the reader’s face, I make it a point not to bring tears or to feel disconcerting. So almost all my posts have a positive note and few will be pointless (i.e. just for timepass).

The third is God. Well, you know the reason.

What Am I writing after eliminating all these?

I write about nature, society, people, relationships, friends, trust, cheer, fun, teasing, laughter and mainly Life.
I write, if people are not letting an ambulance its way
I write, if a stranger treats me well.
I write how to make people love you.
I write, if I am happy throughout the day.
I write, if friends want me to post something on a day.
I write thanking everyone.
I write about every tiny gift of life.
I write about my childhood.
I write humour & harmony.

Friends! If I have left out something about which I write, please mention it in comment.

So hereafter if people ask me What do I write about. I’ll direct them to this post J

Have a Great Day Ahead J

Compliment

Hi Friends,

“I will be generous with my love today. I will sprinkle compliments and uplifting words everywhere I go. I will do this knowing that my words are like seeds and when they fall on fertile soil, a reflection of those seeds will grow into something greater.”- Steve Maroboli

Not just girls but everyone likes compliments when they are true.  There are people who do not know to accept a compliment given to them. Compliments can even be false praises. We should be able to differentiate between a false praise and a sincere one.

Sincere Compliments costs nothing but can accomplish many things. It is indeed true that compliments are like seeds . Without compliments I would not have continued this blog. When my friends find no time to read my blog, I insist them to read it. (I am that sort of girl! And they do obligeJ).

When I stop hearing comments from friends, I don’t feel like writing in this space. So Friends, Please do comment on the post. No matter how long your comments are. I’ll even accept crisp comments. But find time to comment. Otherwise I don’t feel like writing.

Yesterday had a chat with a friend of mine. Months together I was not in touch with her. In chat I just told her the blog name and asked her to read when she finds time. The chat was in noon and I became busy with my work after that.

She called me up in the evening. She was so excited while speaking to me. Her voice said that. She was so touched to read my blog  and felt a positivity while reading it. She said that while reading the posts , It was like I’m personally speaking with her. She was happy in her present life , but still something was missing in her life. On reading the blog she felt as if it was fulfilled and she was not left alone. She was able to connect with me.

For a moment I did not know how to bring her back to normalcy. She was in such a excited state. I heartily accepted her compliment and thanked her for expressing her feelings in such a excited manner. Then I made her feel comfortable and brought her to normalcy.

She poured all her stresses to me. She shared all her fears and relaxed herself after pouring all her tears to me. I consoled her. She said that from months together she had not shared these with anyone and kept everything to herself. She added that, she felt like sharing with me alone after reading the blog. I knew she was true. I knew her compliment was sincere. I was touched with it.
Today I am really glad that I started writing blogs. I am happy that I can touch people’s life with my words. I am persuaded to writemore more  when I hear a sincere compliment.

Practice complimenting. Do it sincerely. Your Compliments truly matters.

Accept compliments gladly when they are genuine. Thank people who compliment you.

I thank everyone who have complimented me till date for this blog! Thank You all!

Travel Loving

Earth has so much beauty in it.  A lifetime would never suffice even to learn its beauty.

Nature is one of the best things everyone could cherish. Nature was at its best, when we visited Coorg.  Such a good place it is but hardly maintained. It needs much maintenance.

Yes. Coming to the Tour – We visited Raja’s seat , Fort , Abbi falls and Omkareshwar temple on the first day. It was 2 days trip, which is less to cover places in and around Madikeri.  Though nature was fully at its best, I could not enjoy much because the maintenance was not up to mark. Recently Madikeri has faced heavy rainfall and that can also be the reason for lack in maintenance. We were even dismayed when we heard that there was no entry for bathing in Abbi falls. But however the places may be and wherever you are... being with friends compensates everything. We were too excited at our get together. We played cards and happily ended that day.

Next Day we went to Dubare forest . It has boating , river rafting and elephant camp in it. We went through boat to visit the elephant camp. Saw many elephants of various sizes.  We came to know the names of 2 little elephants. We ourselves named many. Elephant bathing was allowed on payment of Rs.100. Few families were bathing the elephant. We loved the way the elephants playing with kids there.

Then we got ready for rafting. We were given Life vests and helmets which made us feel like soldiers ready to fly. In the beginning many were scared. But the Experts who joined us Mr. Anu & Manish ensured us that the experience would be safe filled with fun and adventure. We divided into  group of 5 & 6 and started with Rafting. In the beginning the water was stand still where we had to row. Instruction was given by the experts “ Forward” , “ Backward” “fast” & “stop” which still i am hearing  as I type this post.

The expert were conversing well  and as they ensured , the experience was adventurous. People who had feared earlier became wild with water and played well with its flow. We enjoyed a lot. We worked as a team and enjoyed the team work. We spent almost 2.5 hrs to cover 7 kilometers which was very much time than the average. We paid Rs.600 each and definitely felt worth after the experience.Rafting was the momentous experience. Had I gone alone or even with family, I do not know whether I would have opted for rafting. But being with like minded people (i.e. Friends) made me to do it. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Later that afternoon we went to Tibetan Monastery which is must visit place. We could not visit Thalakaveri and bhagmandala. But our river rafting experiences with such amazing Experts never made us regret for it.

I have always thought that,

Adventures have to be a part of life.
Life is to be cherished.
Routines needs some break.
Nature strengthens your mind.
Finally, World is all yours. You deserve to taste the beauty of each part of it.

So, Create a chance and explore places. Stay Green!!

Reason , season and evergreen

There are 3 types of people.

People for a reason, a season and forever.

People for a season:

There are few people whom stay with us for a short span. Perhaps it may even be a day, like a co passenger in train, a person next to you in a long queue. We speak well with them. We share much without even knowing that we are sharing our much with held secrets to them. We realise it after opening up everything to them. The journey would end so soon that we forget to take their phone number or mail ids. And however hard you try, you cannot get in touch with few. They are people for a season. Very few people from this category tend to remind in our memories forever.Though physically they are not with us, the short span of memories we shared with them remains long.

People for a reason :

There are people whom we meet accidentally. In fact, in the first meet we do not get close nor get much intimacy. As days pass by, they become connected to us almost in every phase of life after that. They Aid- and- abet us so much at whatever we do. Suddenly they move away from our life after a point of time.
In few cases, we try hard to hold that person. We put in all the efforts to make them stay in our life. Even after trying so much, phase comes where we ourselves let the person move out of our life. Don’t worry. Even if you hard tried hard, they would have left one day or the other. Don’t Panic. They are people who are for a reason. Life has to go on. You can lament but nothing can be changed. Accept the reality and live the present.

People forever :

Wow! They are the people who do not go out of your life even when you push them out J.They are evergreen. They stay connected to you wherever they are. Even when life has taken you in two varied paths, they stay connected and remain close. Be thankful for such persons. They will be for you always.
I’ve spoken only about positive people. I mean people who made you smile, tease, laugh . Am speaking about people who gave energy , enthusiasm, life , cheer and joy. This category equally applies to the negative people. I do  not want to  think about them nor discuss here. Let’s ignore them.

Today, spend quite some time to think about people-

Whom you have lived with throughout your life     and also about
People who have added life to your living.

Live in the Present. No doubt! But once in a while, recall the past.
Where do memories go when relationship dies?  Search for them.

Write me about this post. How it made you think.
I would love to know them from you.

Raksha Bandhan

The construction of a house in neighbourhood was going on last year too. I made a bungalow out of the sand used there and my brother knocked it down and I knocked my brother down and then we had tea together.”

Brothers are special gift of God. Especially if you are a girl, having a Brother means having a lifetime gift. From my childhood, I have been sharing so many childhood memories with my Brothers. If you are regular reader of my blog you would have known this by now.

My brothers are sweet and always ready to fight. We have fought with each other so much. My brother has even shown me the tip of the death. (Risk ellam enakku rusku saapudra madhiri:-P). With those fights comes the bonding. The bonding of love & Care.

My brothers are everything to me. They play the role of my friends, my father & mother (in some instances) , my competitor , my teacher, my companion, and also body guards J . Am so much indebted to all the love they shower on me.

When I meet new people I tend to call them as “Anna” –Brother. I feel it as a word of warmth. Not everyone knows the power / meaning of that word. Many don’t deserve that word. As I grew up I realised this , and from then I don’t call new people with that word. Only when I really feel the affection they give I use the word “Anna” to call them. Today I can say that everyone whom I call so shares a special bonding with me.

They encourage me so much. They support me in everything I do. They stood by me in all my difficult times. They understand me better than my Parents.

Brotherhood is something which everyone cannot get. I am indeed lucky to have so many brothers in my life. Each one has a special place for me in their hearts and I do have special place to each one of them. To all my brothers, Happy Rakshabandhan !!  I wish them to have all the joys of the world.

Planning a Tour

Do you know how much difficult it is to plan a tour ? That too when it involves 10 to 15 people.  Day have to be convenient, dates have to be well planned, place plays a very important role and last comes the budget.

In many instances family tour becomes inevitable. But tour with friends is a mere choice where we never feel like using the option “NO”. As I always say, friends share the same wave length. Even if not same, they love adjusting for each others.

If one friend drops there are so many chances that other frogs also drop their plans L . It is really tough to keep all people intact. Each person’s opinion has to be considered in every matter and majority wins in almost all instances.

Once we start to plan a tour we should be prepared to hear a ready “NO” from few. A ready “Yes” from many. But as the plan continues with discussion on date and number of days people tend to drop the plans. They start remembering other commitments which earlier they forgot. They start prioritising other occasions than the tour. Some emergencies arises which do not let people to proceed as they wish. Finally when we count the number of people it’ll be 2 to 4. @ would be people who organise the tour (as they themselves cannot drop) and other 2 would be lovely hearts who wish to be by the side of organisers.

Somehow after convincing everyone who is about to drop the plan, the date and day undergoes so many changes. Here booking the means of conveyance and place of stay cannot be pre planned as the tour itself will not be finalised till last 2 days.

So after planning all the other itenaries – places to visit in the location selected has to be planned. Kilometers has to be known, time has to be calculated and weather has to be analysed. Possibility of rains and storms may spoil the entire plan. After this the starting point has to be decided when each friends are put up at different cities. Travelling has to be planned from a single location otherwise the fun element would be lost. There is no point in asking everyone to report to the tour spot themselves. So that travel to a centre spot has to be taken care off , from various cities.

No one’s feelings should be hurt. One cannot dominate  all others. No one should feel out of place. All these really matters for the success of the tour. People who owns this nature must be chosen for the trip. Odd men should be left out.

This is how a tour is organised. It is not a piece of cake to easily bake. It demands so much of patience, enthusiasm, responsibility and co-operation, support from many. All these were undergone by us.  We dropped the entire plan and again rebuilt the plan. At last we successfully made a trip to coorg for 2 days with 11 people.

Dear all  members of the tour- let’s say
Hip Hip Hurray!!
Hip Hip Hurray!!
Hip Hip Hurray!!
